It takes two to tango

Words and photos: Fredrik Fernando Austad

The body is a natural healer when allowed the time and space to work its magic.
If you tend to it with the dedication of a loving gardener, you'll harvest its colorful fruits and smell its beautiful flowers.
If you neglect it, you'll find yourself chewing on rotten apples, season after season.

Our breath supports the rhythms that keep our health in its sweet spot.
An ancient dance since the beginning of time, the forces bump bodies
against each other. The optimal state lies between opposites.

It takes two to tango.

It takes two to tango.
The yin with the yang.
The masculine with the feminine.
The working with the resting.
The dreaming with the creation.
The doing with the being.

The inhale with the exhale.

Pretty simple rules to follow, and just as easy to forget.

Start by filling your belly with air, like you're blowing life into a small balloon.

Inhale through the nose.
Slowly exhale with a sigh.

And here we go again.
