Daily care: Let the holder cool fully after use before handling. Tap or brush off ash after each burn. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and loose residue.
Cleaning build-up: For resin or soot: wipe with a soft cloth slightly dampened with warm water and a drop of mild soap. Dry thoroughly. Avoid soaking the holder in water. Avoid harsh chemicals, ammonia, bleach, or abrasive powders.
Patina and polishing: Brass naturally darkens over time. This patina is normal and does not affect function. If you prefer a brighter finish, use a brass-safe polish sparingly on the metal surface only. Apply polish with a soft cloth, then buff clean and dry. Keep polish away from incense holes.
Use and surface protection: Always place the holder on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Ash and heat can mark delicate surfaces. Use a tray or protective mat if needed. Ensure ash and embers fall onto the holder or a non-flammable base.
Storage and handling: Store in a dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Avoid dropping or knocking the holder against hard surfaces to prevent dents or deformation. Do not leave incense burning unattended.
